About Me

Hello! I’m Brittany, a 22-year-old recent college graduate currently living in Western New York. I love everything fitness and probably spend a little too much time reading about it, experimenting with foods, testing out new workouts and talking about everything fitness-related. It has become a full-time hobby and recently, I realized that the reason why I love it so much is because it’s the one thing that is capable of always making me feel great. Keeping an active and healthy life is one of my top priorities (but that doesn’t mean I don’t slip up!!).

Coming up just around the corner, I’ll be running my first race. It’s just a 5k, but running a race has been a goal of mine for years. I have big plans for half-marathons, marathons, duathalons (?) TRIathalons (!?!), but a 5k seemed like a necessary baby step!

I have also recently made an exciting decision. After years and year of struggling with the looming question of what I wanted to do with my life, I finally decided that I am going to spend some time exploring the things that I know will make me happy (granted, some of them don’t pay very well. Some of them don’t pay at all!) Some of my friends decided that they want to travel the world for a year or two, some decided that they want to be ski instructors in Colorado. I on the other hand, decided that I want to work on earning my personal training license! This is something that has popped into my head time and time again over the years, and even though I know it likely won’t be what I end up doing with the rest of my life forever and ever, I think it will prove to be very beneficial. Both to my career and of course, my own wellness!

In my spare time, I love cooking, reading, writing, crafting and learning new things. I also love spending time with family and friends, trying new things, and watching bad television.

I’m so excited to share my journey with you and I do hope you’ll follow along!

  1. First of all, LOVE your name ;). Secondly, a 5K is NOT a minor run..it’s a big step in a running career!! I could barely run 3 miles when I first started! I can’t wait to hear more about your running journey!

    • Ahaha! Yours is fantastic as well :-). Thanks so much for the vote of confidence! I really am so glad I started this and even though it’s “just” three miles, I definitely feel like this 5k will be a major accomplishment for me (even though I’m still scared out of my mind :-P) I am looking forward to following your blog as well!
