OK first of all, it’s quite possible that I have a problem. And I’m dragging others down with me.
I can’t hardly believe that I went for MONTHS at the end of my last semester at school without working out! Plus, my staple foods turned into chicken wings and Easy Mac. Oy. Now I can’t barely function without getting my fitness on every day! Anyway, I do love to drag my friends along. This particular one probably thinks I’m a LUNATIC. I bug her juuuuuuust about every day to come along with me. Gyms are just so much more enjoyable with a friend!
Anyway, the actual point of this post is for another expose of a teeny portion of my life! My tunes!
Confession # 143,543,723,624,654. I LOVE the golden oldies! If I had a choice between oldies, pop, hip hop, rap, country, classical, (ANY other genre aside from maybe holiday music!) I would ALWAYS choose the oldies. I always find it amusing that when I’m at the gym, or running on the street outside, no one knows what I’m blasting on the iPod. 9 out of 10 times, it’s probably something pre-1980. That’s right, my power songs are ones that the seventy-year-olds I work with could sing along to!
Recently, however, I’ve been very big on making new playlists. Especially since I’ve been doing a lot of running lately! I have heard SO many times that the only block against running distances is a mental one and I’m starting to believe that! If I don’t have a good jam list lined up, I won’t make it more than 2 feet! Check out my current workout playlist. This is one of my favorites.
Maybe someday when I’m sufficiently convinced that you won’t judge me and stop reading my blog, I’ll share one of my other favorite playlists with you. The oldies one, but then again, maybe not. 😉
